01 About Me

Hello! I'm Aurélie (pronounced oh-reh-lee)

I was born and raised in the south of France 🧀 🌴 (yes, I love cheese!). During my bachelors at the University of Clermont-Ferrand, I had the opportunity to study abroad in the US. One thing led to another, and here I am, ten years later, living and working in Washington D.C, building products for companies, businesses and government entities around the globe.

With training in architecture and a passion for spatial storytelling, I bring deep expertise in 3D design, cross-functional collaboration, and user-centered design thinking to the digital realm. I create immersive, accessible, and intuitive 3D experiences that align with business goals and exceed user expectations.

In my downtime, you can find me practicing photography, biking, traveling or at the dog park. I am also a bad but enthusiastic pickleball player who occasionally shows up at the D.C. queer pickleball league.

02 My experience

INDEPENDENT STUDY / Immersive 3D Technologies & Spatial Computing

2023 to present

  • Designed and developed ArchVue3D, an interactive browser-based 3D platform blending spatial design, storytelling, and real-time technology through React and Three.js, with ongoing exploration into WebXR integration for immersive, spatial interaction.
  • Experimented with custom shaders, lightmaps, and UI systems—integrating AI-assisted 3D workflows to craft playful visual experiences and accelerate concept iteration.

SMITHGROUP / Architect

2015 to present

  • Designed innovative and visually compelling concepts for the built environment while driving project documentation and client-facing design presentations.
  • Spearheaded immersive visualization strategy for high-profi le architecture projects, transforming conceptual designs into interactive AR, VR, MR and real-time experiences.
  • Managed system coordination on large-scale projects involving multi-disciplinary teams of engineers, designers, and consultants to ensure seamless execution.
  • Generated over $900M in new projects by developing strategic design concepts in FY2024.

MILES ASSOCIATES / Architect

2012 to 2015

  • Led 3D visualizations effort by creating compelling digital experiences and identifying software and workflow needs.
  • Developed the company Website Design using Squarespace CMS.
